It's hard to believe we are sitting down to write a wrap up for 2015. It seems like a daunting task to properly encompass all of the notable moments of the past year, one in which we are not really sure where to begin.
With the Epic Climb of the Grand Canyon behind us in 2014, Epilepsy Durham Region was determined to keep the momentum moving in to 2015, and hit the ground running. 2015 would be a year of transformation, not just for our organization, but also for Epilepsy itself.
With the goal of having a local Epilepsy Clinic in mind, and the concept of 'strength in numbers' echoing through our heads, we worked hard to engage our community in all that we do. Through successfully spearheading annual events, and daringly implementing brand new initiatives, we have been witness to community involvement like never before; it is only with the help of each and every one of our community partners that we are able to make lasting impact in the lives of so many touched by Epilepsy.
On behalf of Dianne and myself, we wish you peace and joy for the coming year. Epilepsy Durham Region is surrounded by a wealth of support which enhances our ability to help many. Every day we face challenges, but know that the day that you feel that the waters are perhaps too rough, please know that we are a phone call away and we will help to calm the storm.
