In 2017, the Town provided over $150,000 in grants to more than 30 local community organizations through the Mayor’s Community Development Fund (MCDF) and Performing Arts Community Development Fund (PACDF).
“We are proud to have contributed to a wide variety of important causes and initiatives that help keep Whitby a vibrant, safe and caring community,” said Mayor Don Mitchell. “This year, we look forward to once again supporting as many organizations as possible.”
This year, Epilepsy Durham Region has been selected as one of two lead causes for the Mayor's 2018 Fundraiser, being awarded $25,000 to support our Clinic to Community (C2C) Project, a co-ordinated care approach that better connects socially isolated people living with epilepsy to the epilepsy community.
Thank you to the Mayor's Community Development Fund for their investment into C2C, ensuring optimal quality of life for people with epilepsy in our community.
