Annual National Purple Day for Epilepsy • March 26th
Did you know that March is Epilepsy Awareness Month? We invite you, your school, daycare, or business to be part of the national Epilepsy awareness celebration, Purple Day. Epilepsy community agencies coast to coast are reaching out to you to get involved to help us increase education and awareness, and support for the 1 in 100 people living with Epilepsy in our communities. Download a registration form below:
One special way to become involved in Epilepsy Awareness Month is to participate in our Be a Kid For a Kid campaign. National Epilepsy Awareness Month provides a platform to raise awareness one voice at a time and our campaign puts the spotlight on the children affected with this disease. Epilepsy Durham Region's campaign, 'Be a Kid for a Kid' provides a conduit for people to reprioritize and take a moment to help a child in their community, working together as a team towards one common goal – changing the life of a child with Epilepsy.
HOW IT WORKS:
- Companies will choose their favourite childhood games to relive alongside colleagues – hopscotch, board games, or even musical chairs; the options are limitless
- Challenge co-workers
- Raise awareness about Epilepsy
- Pledge to HAVE FUN
We're here to help you along the way... On your mark, get set, go!
