It all began with one meeting a friend suggested I attend. I was hooked.

I knew very little about epilepsy, but knew that I could make a contribution to helping this at the time small charity. Over the years I watched passionate volunteers and staff change lives of our community.
I am proud to have been associated with Epilepsy Durham Region and to have been part of impacting the quality of lives of so many.

I wish Epilepsy Durham Region congratulations on their 30th Anniversary, well done!

30 years - my how far you have come! Epilepsy Durham Region, you are the little engine that could!

What you do for our region cannot simply be measured. You make the lives of those affected less stressful by not only working with and educating families, but by also diligently working within the region to help raise awareness, understanding and acceptance.

I joined the organization over 10 years ago due to my family's own struggles with epilepsy, our son was born with it and will be a life-long survivor. I am so honoured to have been able to be a part of the growth and success of this wonderful charitable organization.

Congratulations on your 30 year anniversary and wishing you success on whatever the future may bring.

For us affected by Epilepsy, my son Danny, Jordan and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

Allison Gordon (Martin)
