
Are you a detail-oriented person with a passion for helping others in your community? Through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) grant, Epilepsy Durham Region is excited to have an Events Coordinator join our team for a 12 week contract this summer!
Responsibilities
The Events Coordinator will be responsible for developing, organizing, implementing and managing events and event activities for both fundraising and educational purposes. They will be responsible for guest speaker bookings, venue selection, administration and registration management, record keeping, budget management, and reporting.
Qualifications & Attributes
- Proven experience in events management
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Caring and compassionate by nature
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Between the ages of 15 – 30 (as per CSJ requirements)
The Event Coordinator is a cross-functional team member, having responsibility for multiple small to large events. They will be required to work effectively with multiple staff members, utilizing collaboration tools such as Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Planner, and file sharing. Due to ongoing fluctuations in regards to COVID-19 restrictions, Epilepsy Durham Region will be providing many events in an online virtual format, and in person events when restrictions allow. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for understanding available technologies to deliver online events including video conferencing, webinars, email marketing and others.
