A Home Run Derby – A very Merry Christmas for everyone especially for one special young woman living with epilepsy in Durham Region
During December 27th - 31st, Kyle Bryan (Whitby, ON, Sinclair Secondary School) will proudly represent Canada in the prestigious 11th Annual Home Run Derby World Power Showcase being held in Miami at Marlins Park. This event features the most prolific amateur players from around the world and provides the perfect centre-stage opportunity to demonstrate their skill-sets in front of baseball’s top evaluators during a live world broadcast.
Each participant is given an opportunity to showcase a cause close to their hearts. Studies have suggested that 44% of individuals with Autism also have Epilepsy (Gabis et al., 2005). Kerry's Place Autism Services is committed to enhancing the quality of life of persons with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developing and providing evidence-based supports; and building capacity by sharing knowledge. They are Canada's largest service provider for children, youth and adults with ASD and serve more than 8,000 people with ASD and their families each year.
Kerry's Place Autism Services is happy to announce their new Behavioural Based Services, now available through Fee for Service.
Eligible 'Autism One-Time Funding' for Behavioural Services and Supports provided by Kerry's Place Autism Services include:
- Behaviour Consultation
- Life Skills and Social Skills Programs
- Out-of-school learning support/tutoring
- ASD specialized therapeutic
