Epilepsy Durham Region is committed to promoting independence and optimal quality of life for individuals living with epilepsy or seizure disorders and their families, through support services, advocacy, and public education.
Our vision is to create a barrier free community in which epilepsy is widely understood, and where persons affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders are empowered to live a life of support, dignity, and self-worth.
These serve as guidelines for our conduct and behaviour as we work towards our mission:
· Caring and empathic · Integrity and honesty
· Accountability · Respect and diversity
· Equality and mutual respect for all individuals · Efficient and cost-effective management
We are able to live by our mission, vision, and values through fundraising and public donation efforts – all contributions help fund our programming, education, advocacy and services which are leading us towards alleviating the stigma and myths of living with Epilepsy. Every donation makes a difference.
