Seizure Smart Training Certificate
Seizure Smart is a practical virtual workshop designed specifically for Secondary Students in Durham Region to earn five hours of their volunteer Community Involvement hours while gaining valuable epilepsy knowledge.
These workshops will take place twice a semester utilizing Microsoft Teams (dates to be determined) and will focus on Seizure First Response protocol, general epilepsy education, and epilepsy awareness knowledge to create epilepsy champions in our community!

You’re an Epilepsy Champion in your School
Included in the Seizure Smart Training Certificate is a toolkit to help you to become an Epilepsy Champion in your school! Epilepsy Durham Region is excited to provide you with tips to run your own fundraiser, and raise much needed public awareness about epilepsy in our community.
As part of your training program, we invite you to utilize our Fundraising Checklist, and Social Media Posts to enhance your ability to help individuals living with Epilepsy in Durham Region.
