Bright lights & Gingerbread Nights
This holiday season, let’s turn frosting and gumdrops into something extraordinary. Join us for the Gingerbread Build for Epilepsy, raising awareness and support, one gingerbread house at a time.
The holiday season is here, and we’re bringing the community together for a heartwarming (and delicious) cause! We invite you to join our Gingerbread Build for Epilepsy competition, where you’ll get the chance to create your most imaginative gingerbread masterpieces—all while raising funds to support local epilepsy programming and services.
In partnership with Kids Safety Village of Durham Region’s ‘Christmas at the Village’ walkthrough event, Epilepsy Durham Region is excited for thousands of community members to cast their vote for their favourite holiday Gingerbread Build!
Whether you’re a seasoned gingerbread architect or just looking for some festive fun, this is a perfect chance to show off your creativity and spread some holiday cheer. Compete solo or bring a team, and let your imagination run wild!
We’ll provide you with the gingerbread kit (courtesy of Picadilly Cakery), and the rest is up to you!
WHY WE’RE BUILDING FOR A CAUSE:
Epilepsy affects 1 in 100 people worldwide, yet it remains widely misunderstood. This holiday season, our goal is to shine a light on epilepsy and show families affected by this disease that their family of support extends beyond the walls of their home and into our amazing community! By joining us today and building your dream home out of cookies, candies, and icing, you will help to support critical resources for those impacted by epilepsy and their families.
